Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas- Telouet Valley - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate- Draa Valley - Tamnougalte
We will leave Marrakech and cross mount Tichka (High Atlas) to discover the Ait Benhaddou fortress, which is near Ouarzazate, Morocco’s Hollywood. We will visit the kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a real work of art, World Heritage site. The fortress is decorated with wonderful towers. It is one of the most beautiful places you can visit in From Marrakech to the desertthe Berber Atlas. After that, we will continue to Ouarzazate where we can have lunch and visit another kasbah in the center of Ouarzazate. Then, our trip will go on to the palm trees of the Draa Valley, where we will find this immense green “snake” 250 kilometres long that goes into the desert and leads us to the village of Tamnougalte. We will spend the night in a little Berber village, immersed in the heart of the valley.
Day 2: Tamnougalte-Nekob-Tazarine- Rissani- Erg Chebbi Desert - Merzouga
After breakfast, we will visit the typical kasbahs of Tamnougalte, which are enriched by lush vegetation. From there, we will continue to the desert following the same road that has been used by the caravans of traders that cross the Anti Atlas. This road goes from the Tafilalet Valley to the Draa Valley, and there we will discover the different shades of color that characterize this area, ranging from ochre to red, and from violet to black, in the Hamadas desert. After a patch of deserted landscapes, oasis and palm trees, we will get to the town of Rissani. We will stop briefly to have a look at the renowned market and have some tea. Then, we will go on to the Erg Chebbi desert. There, at the hotel we will start our dromedary ride to the great dunes of Morocco to observe a fantastic desert sunset. The trip lasts 2 hours. We will have diner and sleep in Berber tents.
Day 3: Erg Chebbi Desert - Hamlia- -Erfoud- Todra Gorge - Dades Valley
We must get up early if we want to admire a magnificent sight – sunrise in the desert. An incredible combination of light, color and silence. After such a wonderful gift from nature, we will go back to the hotel for a quick shower and for breakfast. Then, we will visit the little town of Hamlia, where we will pay a visit to an authentic Berber family and have a close look at their everyday life. Then, we will continue to Erfoud and the Todra Gorge, with its vertical walls that stretch up to 300 metres. After that, we will visit the Dades Valley, where we will have diner and sleep in a Riad.
Day 4: Dades Valley – The Rose Valley – Skoura - Marrakech
During the fourth day we will visit the Rose Valley and the palm grove of Skoura. We will travel the road of the thousand kasbahs to Ouarzazate, and from there, we will go back to Marrakech.
Day 1: Fez - Azrou-khenifra – Sources of Oum Rabia - Imichil
In the morning, we leave for Imilchil travelling across the Atlas and passing by the little villages of Azrou. There we can enjoy a wonderful sight of the High Atlas and the forest. Then, we will get to the sources of Oum Rabi and go for a picnic and, after that, go for a walk in the valley to contemplate the waterfalls. We will continue to Imilchil, a Berber town, renowned for its lovers’ festival. We will sleep in a hotel.
Day 2: Imilchil - Ait Hani – Todra Gorge – Erfoud - Erg chebbi Desert
Before we arrive in the Erg Ouzina desert, we will stop at the Todra Gorge, travel across the Anti Atlas and visit the canyon of the gorges. We will visit some Berber villages to have a close look at their everyday life and enjoy some freshly made tea with the nomads. In the evening, we will get to the Erg Ouzina desert, where we will stay in a hotel.
Day 3: Ouzina Desert - Merzouga Dunes – Desert Magic
This is a relaxing day, to enjoy the desert magic, take long walks in the dunes, and visit the villages of Merzouga and Khamlia. In the evening, we will go back to the hotel for a new itinerary on dromedary back, to go to sleep in the middle of the desert, beneath a starry sky. Berber music, drums and songs around the bonfire will make of that night a complete magical experience. Accommodation in desert tents.
Day 4- option 1: Erg Chebbi- Rissani- Midelt- Ifrane- Fez
Return to Fez with a different itinerary. First, we will stop in Rissani to visit its renowned market, point of encounter for the nomads of the region. Then, we will go on to the Ziz Gorge and to Midelt, where we will have lunch.
Day 4- option 2: Erg Chebbi – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate - Marrakech
We must get up very early if we want to see the fabulous sunrise among the dunes. Then, we will go back to the hotel with the dromedary caravan. After breakfast, we will go to Tafilalet, passing by Rissani (capital of the former sultans Alaouite). Then, we will travel to Alnif, the oasis of Tazarine and Knob. After that, to Ouarzazate travelling across the Draa Valley, the Berber village of Agdz and Ait Saoun (1,660 metres high). We will get back to Marrakech in the evening.
Day 1: Marrakech- Ouarzazate - Agdz – Draa Valley - Zagora
We will leave Marrakech and head for the High Atlas. We will visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. Lunch in Ouarzazate and we will continue to the Kasbah of the storks, where we will make a stop to observe the lake. After that, our trip will continue to Agdz, we will have a little break and visit Tizi-n-Tinififft (1,660 metres high). Then, we will go to the kasbah of Alkaid Ali in Tamnougale. In the evening, our trip will continue with four-wheel-drive vehicles through the Draa Valley and it will end in Zagora. Dinner and overnight in Zagora.
Day 2: Zagora – Tamegroute Library - M'hamid - Erg Chegaga Desert
In the early morning, we will leave for Tamgroute and there we will visit the old Koranic library, the earthenware artists and the underground kasbah. Our itinerary will continue across Morocco to the Tagouenite Oasis. Then we will get to Mhamid for lunch. After that, we will go on to the dunes of Chegaga just in time to admire the wonderful desert sunset. Dinner and accommodation in a Berber tent (haima).
Day 3: Erg Chegaga - Lake Iriki - Foum Zguit - Taznakhte - Ouarzazate
We must get up early to see the sunrise among the dunes. After breakfast, we will head for Foum Zguit passing by some little villages of desert nomads who live in their tents. We will also visit the dry Lake Iriqui. Picnic in an oasis. After a little rest, we will go on to Ouarzazate through Taznakhte.
Day 4: Ouarzazate - Ksar Ait Benhaddou - Kasbah of Telouet - Marrakech
We will go back to Marrakech in the morning so as to take a close look at the different landscapes, the people and their lifestyles.
Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Draa Valley - Zagora
We will leave Marrakech and head for Ouarzazate through the mountains of the High Atlas. Once in Ait Benhaddou, we will visit the kasbah of this fantastic place, World Heritage site and the shooting set of some famous movies such as “Gladiator “ and “Lawrence of Arabia”. We will continue to Ouarzazate visiting the Kasbah of Taourirt and the film museum. After that, we will go to the Draa Valley (one of the most beautiful places of Morocco) and, finally, we will get to Zagora. We will spend the night there.
Day 2: Zagora – Old Dakar Tracks- Ouzina Desert "280 KM TRACKS"
After breakfast we will visit the Draa River. This stage of the trip is spectacular, one of the most beautiful. We will get the chance to see the tracks that have been used in the Paris-Dakar Rally. We will go through the Draa Valley, passing by some Berber villages, almost lost in the middle of the black desert. Here we will have lunch. We will spend the night in the Kasbah of Ouzina Desert.
Day 3: Ouzina Desert – Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – “60 KM TRACKS”
Our trip will start in the morning heading for Merzouga and, if time allows, we can do a tour in Erg Chebbi. We will take a walk in the financial capital of Rissani, and visit the authentic bazaar. After that, we will go on to the Todra Gorge, and there we will stay in a Riad.
Day 4: Todra Gorge –The Rose Valley – The Kasbah Valley – Marrakech
In the morning, we will go back to Marrakech, travelling down the Rose Valley, and we will see a lot of magnificent Kasbahs, the hill of Tichka and the High Atlas. In the evening, we will arrive in Marrakech. End of our trip
